The price of the above described puppy will be ____________. Purchaser will also pay all actual expenses accumulated for this puppy. Such expenses would include vet checkups, micro-chipping, immunizations, and other reasonable expenses. Total expenses will be included in the final sale price.
General Terms
This Agreement is for purchase of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy from Baxterbred Cavaliers L.L.C. in Concord, Michigan. We breed puppies that are free from genetic problems and are in healthy, sound condition. We provide a 30 day health warranty to allow purchaser to have the puppy evaluated by a veterinarian of their choice. The new owner shall provide the puppy with proper veterinary care including vaccinations and heartworm control preventions.
Our puppies receive scheduled vaccinations and are de-wormed at regular intervals. A complete list of all vaccinations and de-worming will be provided to the purchaser, along with AKC registration papers. During the first 30 days after purchase the buyer must take the puppy to their veterinarian and provide these records so that the veterinary can determine the schedule for future vaccinations and establish a health maintenance program.
Spay/Neuter
Purchaser agrees to spay or neuter the puppy at the age recommended by their vet. Purchaser agrees that this puppy is sold strictly as a pet and will not be used for breeding. Buyer agrees to send proof of spay or neutering to the sellers with in 1 year of purchase.
Deposit
Non-refundable security deposit to reserve a puppy for purchase is $250.00. The $250.00 deposit will reserve your puppy until four weeks after the puppy is approved by seller to “go home.” The balance is due in full when puppy is picked up or shipped.
Shipping
The cost of transporting a puppy to it's new home will include the actual cost of airfare, cost to transport puppy to the airport, veterinary exam and airline health certificate, and the purchase of an airline-approved shipping crate.
Procedure to Secure Puppy
1. Questionnaire completed.
2. Baxterbred Cavaliers approval of buyer.
3. Buyers Agreement completed, signed, and mailed with $250.00 deposit to:

Health Guarantee
Baxterbred Cavaliers L.L.C. guarantees your puppy to be free from infectious diseases after puppy leaves our premises. Puppy will leave our facility clean, in good general health, and with no physical defects.
De-worming and immunizations set forth by our veterinarian will have been completed as shown. While it is generally recognized that intestinal parasites and ear mites are common in puppies, we will make every effort to prevent such parasites. Often, the stress of change and travel can cause intestinal parasites to emerge after the puppy has left its mother. Buyer agrees to continue de-parasitization testing and treatment (if necessary) with their veterinarian. Puppy's vaccinations will be administered at 8 weeks of age.
New owners must take their puppy to their veterinarian within 10 business days of receiving pup for examination, testing for worms, treatment for worms if necessary, and to schedule ongoing immunizations.
If the purchaser's veterinarian finds the puppy to be in poor health, the veterinarian's written description of the problems must be provided, dated within 10 business days of the date purchaser received their puppy.
With documentation by vet that is dated within 10 business days of receipt of puppy that shows infectious illness or genetic defect, purchaser will be given a replacement puppy or Baxterbred Cavaliers L.L.C. will pay veterinarian fees up to the purchase price of the animal after vet has documented genetic defect present or infectious disease, dating the documentation to be within the 10 business day time period. Cost of exams and tests are responsibility of buyer.
If health problems or genetic defects are found to be present, at any time, buyer must contact seller detailing such problems.
New owners will not enroll the puppy in obedience training classes until all immunizations are completed - usually at 16 to 20 weeks of age, according to the veterinarian's schedule.
Buyer must keep growing puppy at a healthy weight appropriate for its size; must prevent harmful exercise that strains or negatively impacts joints; must feed their puppy a nutritious and quality brand of dog food that is specifically formulated for small-breed puppies (we recommend Royal Canin MINI ®).
